This is "Old" Knox College, not to be confused with the "new" Knox College at the University of Toronto. This building, which sits in Spadina Circle, is now called the Daniels Building and is part of the University of Toronto Faculty of Architecture.

As part of my Toronto Gothic project, I attempted to back out a geometric scheme from the plans that I had available to me, so that I could recreate the view by drawing shapes (in this case hexagons, hexagrams, triangles, and inscribed and circumscribed circles) and then forming the building out of those shapes rather than just measuring and drawing lines. I left the remaining parts of my underlay in graphite.

This print shows an isometric view of the front, which faces south (isometric meaning essentially all parts of the building are drawn to the same scale regardless of whether they are at the back or the front of the building). This drawing also features shadows cast orthogonally at 45-degrees, giving a sense of the buildings depth.

Printed on a 20"x26" sheet of Hahnemühle Photo Rag Fine art paper. Limited set of 50 prints.

Note: Frame not included.
